Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services offered by YourTrn, including private dance lessons, workshops, team building activities and other dance related services.

By submitting a booking request and subsequently accepting a booking confirmed by YourTrn, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About YourTrn

YourTrn is operated by:

Sarah Done and Steve Guilbert
Van Orleystraat
1000 Brussels
Belgium

Email: hello@yourtrn.com
Website: www.yourtrn.com

YourTrn provides private dance lessons, workshops, team building activities and related dance services.

2. Booking process

Bookings are requested through the contact form on the YourTrn website.

Submitting the contact form constitutes a booking request and does not in itself create a binding agreement.

After receiving the request, YourTrn will contact the customer by email to confirm availability, the requested service, date, time, location, price and any applicable additional costs.

A booking becomes final only once YourTrn has confirmed it by email and the customer has accepted the confirmed booking.

The booking confirmation, together with these Terms & Conditions, forms the agreement between YourTrn and the customer.

Customers are responsible for providing correct and complete information when making a booking.

3. Services

YourTrn offers dance related services including:

  1. private dance lessons

  2. dance workshops

  3. team building activities

  4. group activities

  5. other dance related services agreed between YourTrn and the customer

The exact content, duration, location, number of participants and other relevant details are agreed during the booking process and confirmed by email.

YourTrn may adapt exercises, choreography or the content of a session to the level, abilities, group size, available space or safety requirements of the participants.

4. Prices

The price applicable to a booking is the price communicated to the customer before the booking is confirmed.

Prices communicated to consumers include VAT where applicable.

Once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed price will not be changed unless:

  1. the customer requests a change to the service

  2. the number of participants increases where the price depends on group size

  3. additional travel, parking or other costs arise because of a change requested by the customer

  4. another price adjustment is expressly agreed between YourTrn and the customer

Any additional cost will be communicated to the customer before it is charged.

5. Travel and parking costs

For services taking place within the Brussels Capital Region, normal travel costs are included in the agreed price.

For services taking place outside the Brussels Capital Region, additional travel costs apply.

Travel by car will be charged according to the official Belgian quarterly kilometre allowance applicable at the time the booking is confirmed.

The applicable kilometre rate and the estimated travel charge will be communicated to the customer before the booking becomes final.

The kilometre charge is calculated on the return journey from Brussels to the agreed location.

Parking costs incurred for services outside the Brussels Capital Region are also payable by the customer.

Where reasonably possible, known parking costs will be communicated in advance. Where the exact amount is not known beforehand, the actual parking cost may be charged.

6. Team building activities and group size

Prices for team building activities and certain workshops may depend on the agreed number of participants.

The price quoted by YourTrn is based on the number of participants communicated by the customer at the time of booking.

If the number of participants increases, YourTrn may charge an additional amount corresponding to the increased group size.

The applicable surcharge will be communicated to the customer before the additional participants take part whenever this is reasonably possible.

If the final number of participants is lower than the number on which the confirmed booking was based, the originally agreed price remains applicable.

7. Payment

Payment can be made:

  1. in advance

  2. on the day of the lesson, workshop or activity

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the full amount must be paid no later than the day on which the service takes place.

Accepted payment methods are:

  1. cash

  2. Payconiq

Where payment is made in cash, any legally applicable Belgian cash rounding rules will be applied.

Different payment arrangements may be agreed in writing for specific bookings, events or business customers.

8. Cancellation by the customer

A customer may cancel a confirmed booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled starting time.

Cancellations must be communicated to YourTrn by email or through another communication channel agreed with YourTrn.

If the customer cancels less than 48 hours before the scheduled starting time, a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the agreed price will be charged.

If the customer has already paid the full amount, YourTrn will refund the amount paid minus the applicable 10% cancellation fee.

Failure to attend a confirmed booking without prior notice will be treated as a cancellation made less than 48 hours before the scheduled starting time. The same 10% cancellation fee will apply.

Where possible, YourTrn may agree to move a booking to another date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

9. Cancellation or changes by YourTrn

In exceptional circumstances, such as illness, accident, force majeure or circumstances that make it impossible or unsafe to provide the service, YourTrn may need to cancel or reschedule a booking.

If YourTrn cancels a booking and the service cannot take place as agreed, the customer will be offered the choice between:

  1. rescheduling the service to another mutually agreed date

  2. receiving a full refund of any amount already paid for the cancelled service

YourTrn will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Except where otherwise required by mandatory law, YourTrn is not responsible for additional costs incurred by the customer as a result of a cancellation caused by circumstances outside YourTrn's reasonable control.

10. Right of withdrawal for online bookings

Bookings made through the internet or by email may constitute distance contracts under Belgian consumer law.

As a general rule, consumers have a 14 day statutory right of withdrawal for certain distance contracts.

However, Belgian and European consumer legislation provides an exception for services relating to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

Dance lessons, workshops, team building activities and similar YourTrn services booked for a specific date or period may fall within this exception.

Where this exception applies, the customer does not have a statutory 14 day right of withdrawal from the confirmed booking.

The cancellation rules set out in Article 8 nevertheless continue to apply. This means that YourTrn voluntarily allows customers to cancel free of charge until 48 hours before the activity, even where no statutory right of withdrawal applies.

Where a service or product does not fall within a legal exception to the right of withdrawal, the customer's mandatory statutory rights remain fully applicable.

11. Location of the activity

Where a lesson, workshop or other activity takes place at a location provided or chosen by the customer, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the location is reasonably suitable for the agreed activity.

This includes providing sufficient and safe space for the number of participants and the type of activity.

YourTrn may adapt the lesson or workshop where the available space or circumstances require this for safety reasons.

If the location presents a clear safety risk, YourTrn may refuse to perform exercises or activities that cannot reasonably be carried out safely.

12. Participation by minors

Minors may participate in YourTrn lessons, workshops and other activities.

Where a booking is made on behalf of a minor, the person making the booking confirms that they are entitled to make the necessary arrangements for the minor's participation.

Where legally required, consent or authorisation from a parent or legal guardian must be obtained.

YourTrn may request confirmation of such consent where reasonably necessary.

13. Health and safety

Dance and physical activity inherently involve a degree of physical effort and a risk of injury.

Each participant is responsible for assessing whether they are physically capable of participating in the activity.

Participants are expected to inform YourTrn before or during a session of any relevant physical limitation, injury or other circumstance that may affect their ability to participate safely, insofar as they are comfortable and legally able to do so.

Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions given by YourTrn during a lesson, workshop or activity.

Participants remain responsible for their own movements and for respecting their personal physical limits.

YourTrn may advise a participant not to perform a particular exercise or may adapt an exercise where this is reasonably necessary for safety reasons.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Liability

YourTrn will perform its services with reasonable care and professionalism.

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law, YourTrn will not be liable for damage resulting solely from:

  1. failure by a participant to follow reasonable safety instructions

  2. exercises or movements performed contrary to the instructions given

  3. a participant exceeding their own physical limits

  4. a medical or physical condition that YourTrn could not reasonably have known about

  5. inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer or participant

  6. unsafe conditions at a location supplied or selected by the customer that were not reasonably apparent to YourTrn

  7. loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by a fault for which YourTrn is legally responsible

YourTrn does not exclude or limit its liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits the customer's statutory rights or excludes liability where Belgian law does not permit such an exclusion.

Where liability may legally be limited, YourTrn's liability will be limited to reasonably foreseeable direct damage resulting from the relevant failure.

Indirect or consequential losses are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

15. Force majeure

Neither YourTrn nor the customer will be held liable for failure to perform an obligation where performance has become impossible due to an event beyond the reasonable control of the affected party.

Such circumstances may include severe weather conditions, government restrictions, major transport disruptions, emergencies or other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or avoided.

The affected party must inform the other party as soon as reasonably possible.

Where a service cannot take place because of force majeure, YourTrn and the customer will first attempt to agree on a new date.

If rescheduling is not reasonably possible, any amount paid for a service that has not been provided will be refunded, subject to any mandatory legal rules.

16. Choreographies and intellectual property

All choreographies, teaching methods, course materials, exercises, written materials, videos and other original content created or supplied by YourTrn remain the intellectual property of YourTrn or the relevant rights holder.

Participation in a lesson, workshop or activity does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the participant.

YourTrn's materials and choreographies may be used by participants for their own personal and non commercial practice.

They may not be commercially exploited, sold, reproduced as teaching material, presented as the participant's own creation or used for commercial instruction without prior written permission from YourTrn.

17. Filming during lessons and workshops

At the end of a lesson or workshop, participants may film the choreography or relevant dance material for the purpose of remembering and practising what they have learned.

Such recordings are intended for personal use.

Recording does not transfer any intellectual property rights in the choreography or teaching material.

Commercial use, resale or use of such recordings as paid teaching content is not permitted without prior written permission from YourTrn.

Participants must respect the privacy and image rights of other participants when recording or sharing videos.

18. Photos and videos taken by YourTrn

YourTrn may occasionally wish to take photographs or videos during lessons, workshops or events.

Where an identifiable participant is photographed or filmed for promotional or marketing purposes, YourTrn will obtain any consent required under applicable law.

Further information about the processing of photographs, videos and personal data can be found in the YourTrn Privacy Policy.

19. Gift vouchers

YourTrn may offer gift vouchers.

Unless otherwise stated on the voucher, gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

A booking using a gift voucher must be made before the expiry date. The actual activity may take place after the expiry date if this has been agreed and confirmed by YourTrn before the voucher expires.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non refundable after any applicable statutory withdrawal period has expired.

Where a gift voucher is purchased through a distance contract and the purchaser has a statutory right of withdrawal, this legal right remains unaffected by the non refundability rule.

If a service booked with a gift voucher costs more than the value of the voucher, the customer must pay the difference.

If the value of the service is lower than the value of the voucher, any remaining value will remain available until the original expiry date, unless otherwise stated on the voucher.

20. Personal data

YourTrn processes personal data in accordance with applicable Belgian and European data protection legislation.

More information about how YourTrn collects, uses and protects personal data is available in the YourTrn Privacy Policy.

21. Complaints

If a customer is dissatisfied with a YourTrn service, they are encouraged to contact YourTrn as soon as possible so that a reasonable solution can be sought.

Complaints can be sent to:

hello@yourtrn.com

YourTrn will examine complaints and respond within a reasonable period.

Consumers may also have the right to use an applicable Belgian alternative dispute resolution service, including the Consumer Mediation Service where its conditions are met.

22. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms & Conditions and agreements with YourTrn are governed by Belgian law.

YourTrn and the customer will first attempt to resolve any disagreement amicably.

If no amicable solution can be reached, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts in accordance with the applicable rules of Belgian law.

Nothing in this provision deprives a consumer of any mandatory protection or right to bring proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

23. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

YourTrn may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms & Conditions applicable to a booking are those that were provided or made available to the customer when the booking was concluded.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions do not retrospectively alter an existing confirmed booking unless the customer expressly agrees to the change.
